In class this week, we learned about air pressure and barometers. They used to have mercury in them, but now it has been found that mercury is a toxic chemical. We built our own barometers, made out of soup cans, and balloons. We will look at the air pressure as time goes on. This relates to my life because the reading of the air pressure says something about the weather. If there is high air pressure, the day will be nice, but if there is low air pressure, the day will probably have bad weather. I can guess what the weather will be like just by looking at what the air pressure is.
