ALL WORK IS DUE BY FRIDAY OF THIS WEEK!!!
this week we learned about plate techtonics and how scientists determine whats under the earth's surface. this can relate to your life because if you think there's nothing under your feet other than dirt and rock.... think again. you can compare an apple thats cut in half to the earth's surface. both have 4 layers that are pretty much the same in comparison. the earth's layers start from the inner core than to the outer core to the mantle and then to the crust. in an apple the layers are the seeds to the outer core then to the flesh to the skin.
ReplyDeleteThis week we learned about where clouds are and what kind of weather they bring. Also we learned about weather fronts. Clouds relate to our life because they can bring snow, rain, hail ect...but they also are in different parts of the earth some are bye sea level n altostratus clouds is in the middle and cirro clouds are at the very top. Fronts can relate to our life because when your watching the news and they have those blue triangles and red circles, the blue triangles are the cold weather and the red circles are the warm weather. Occluded front is when cold air mass from a cold front and moves ahead of the warm front, and the warm air rises.
ReplyDeleteIn class this week, we learned about clouds and fronts. There are many different kinds of clouds. The three main types of clouds are cumulus, cirrus and stratus. There are also combinations of these clouds, and prefixes, like alto that go along with some. We also learned about fronts. Fronts are caused by moving air masses. If two air masses meet at a certain spot, one overtakes the other. This relates to my life because you can "read" the clouds, to find out what the weather will be like during the day. Cumulus clouds most often mean rain.
